6'6" Egg for Mike

6'6" x 20" x 2.5" egg for Mike. I shape more quads or singlefins than these crazy retro tri-fins, but this one looks pretty fun. I guess it's called a "thruster"—we'll see if the whole three-fin idea works. The Moonlight Glass reverse tint is cool, too.

New GH Bonzer

For what seems like the first time ever, I planned ahead and ordered a board before winter actually starts—can you believe it? Gary Hanel shaped up a 6'6" x 20.5" x 2.75" bonzer egg. He pulled in the nose a bit and foiled out the rails & tail nicely. Moonlight did the glass including that cool resin loop for the leash. Marlin from 101 fins hand made this nice set of five glass-on fins. Looks pretty good, huh?

Get Big

'cause I got a new gun.
7'0" x 19.25" Allan Gibbons quad semi-gun. Glassed at Moonlight.
Here she is, relaxing in my living room.

The business end.
Here she is, laying out at Moonlight with her yellow 6'10" sister. Fin guru Marlin Bacon of 101 fins took the yellow one, I've got the red one.

Alaia

I decided to give the old alaia a try recently. This alaia started as some laminated pine & wood sealer from Home Depot.
I broke out the old wood burner for this one:
I smeared some wax on it and caught a few little waves riding it prone. It is interesting to try for the drop on a stiff, somewhat heavy plank of wood. It's not so easy to ride it standing yet...

Hey, here's a nice new quad

6'2" x 20" x 2.5". Biofoam. Opaque teal tint & fancy yellow resin work by the Breakroom in PB. Single concave running from under the front foot all the way out the back. Marlin from 101 Fins has a nice new quad template that he's working on that are almost ready.... just waiting for the call and this board will be ready to go. Oh, by the way, this one is for me.
