9'8" x 19" x 23.25" x 16" x 3.125" Classic Longboard shaped by the
Jim "the Genius" Phillips. Tinted volan glass, deck patch, resin pins. Cedar/bass/cedar t band. Redwood & Sugar Pine fin. The redwood was salvaged from wine casks over 100 years old. These pieces of wood are estimated at over approximately 2,000 years old!
I asked for a classic, custom shaped, and Jim delivered. He even had me come in to "assist" in the shaping process, making sure I was happy with everything as he looked through wood for the stringer, fin & tailblock and also when cut the outline—can you ask for any more? I explained the style of surfing, fin templates, colors & concepts that I like and... I definitely found out why they call him "Genius."
